French Bread

In my last post, I mentioned that I made Bruschetta on my homemade French Bread. Never in my life did I think I would make bread. Ever.

But a few weeks ago I decided to try, and well, life will never be the same. :)

I've made this particular French Bread recipe four times now, and each time, I am thrilled at the whole process. I almost want to clap when I see its golden brown crust as it comes out of the oven. It's exciting to create something so "fancy" from simple ingredients!

When I made some this week, I took pictures of the whole process. I love seeing the before and after pictures of the bread rising. Yeast is so fun!

The French Bread has to rise twice, first in the bowl, and then on the pan right before baking.

And after baking, voila!!

French bread is one of our favorites! Would you mind sharing the recipe?

Not a problem! I'll e-mail it to you!! It's pretty easy, just the double rising takes time.

I've never made bread (aside from HS Home Ec) and you make it look so easy. When I have an oven I'm all over that!

I wish I had Home Ec in high school, but they didn't offer it. :(

Once you get an oven, I'll send you a bunch of really fun recipes!!
