We asked our concierge who informed us it was the Hanohano Room and was fine dining and we probably wouldn't be interested. I'm still not quite sure what he meant as I love food of all sorts, including fine dining. Do I not look like I would enjoy fine dining? Hmm...
Fortunately we didn't listen to him and headed to the Sheraton. The glass elevator on the side of the hotel was a fantastic way to ride to the 30th floor - reminded me of Charley and the Chocolate Factory.
Once we were inside the Hanohano Room, our view was of the entire Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head in the distance. I thought it was one of the coolest dining experiences before I even reached the table.

Wow! I love how you can see the waves rolling in. Our bay is not that bright of blue so this is really neat.
Now on to the food -- I love wine flights. That little paper with the circles just made my day.
Yummy!
Great view, but I'm not sure I'd eat that.
Melanie - yes, the wine flights! They were really fun! And they had the menu of them like airline tickets which was really cute!
Travis - Thanks for stopping by!
LOL - I ordered them cause I really like Ahi, even though I was a bit suspicious about the pickled vegetables. However, it was quite good! A nice surprise!
Yum! I'd try it. You make me want to go to all new restaurants and try something odd. :)
My husband and our oldest will be traveling with a church group to a Navajo nation next week. I'm sore jealous of all the local cuisine they'll get to try. (The sad part is, they're both incredibly picky and likely won't enjoy anything as much as I would.)
Yay Janna! I'm so glad I'm inspiring you!
And I'm so jealous that your family is going to a Navajo nation!
Definitely! That's gorgeous! I've recently tried pickled vegetables, and was surprised to like them. I like pickles, so I'm not sure why I was surprised that other vegetables are just as good, LOL!
Weird, what the concierge said.
LOvely view! I want a beach trip! WHINE!!!
